Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

parental alienation

I was divorced aprox 16 months ago, my husband has residential custody, and we both have joint legal custody. Due to extreme parental alienation by my husband, our 2 children refuse to see or talk to me, and my husband refuses to discuss or share any information regarding our children.

At the time of our divorce, court appointed child evaluators suggested therapy for the children, and cited that the father was doing more damage to them than he realized!

What is involved in getting court appointed therapy at this stage? Can it be done through motions, rather than court apperances?

Re: parental alienation

hi -

you sound like you have been through hell. the way to get an issue back before the judge is by way of a notice of motion for --- whatever it is that you are seeking.

sometimes the judge will want you to come in to give testimony, sometimes not.

regardless, it's probably safer to have a lawyer file the motion. please feel free to call me at 609 263-0089 if you have any further questions. good luck !!
