Permanent is not forever.
Permanent alimony in NJ is actually best applied to an entitlement, rather than an obligation. Many things can end permanent alimony, or more important to a living payor, modify such obligation substantially. generally, permanent alimony is subject to modification upon a good faith retirement, which modification often times leads to termination.
