Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I pleaded guilty to a violation of a temporary restraining order by means of electronic communication. The TRO was dismissed how ever I did violate the order with the email. I was sentenced a year of probation which is a hindrance to my line of work. Can I appeal for a shorter probation period?
