Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
power of attorney
My brother is in the hospital in NJ and is not currently competent. He has an infection in his brain. My parents and I are trying to figure out how to get Power of Attorney to handle his affairs until he gets better, if he gets better.

Re: power of attorney
If he is incompetent he cannot sign a Power of Attorney. You would have to apply for court appointed guardianship.
