Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Preventative Maintenance

I see divorce on the horizon. What are some precautionary measures i can take to assure that i wont be living in a car and eating from a dumpster in the future? I witnessed my parents divorce, and also the ongoing financial struggle that each has. How can i be prepared?

thanks.

Re: Preventative Maintenance

You say nothing about your situation: Are you the wife or the husband? Do you earn a living outside of the home or do you stay at home? Do you have kids? Or others who depend on you? Do you own any property? Is this a short term marriage or a long term marriage? There are so many areas, besides these important issues, that need to be discussed before your question can be answered. You need an attorney. Immediately. Feel free to call me at 856-546-8010 for a free one-hour consultation. Or call any other Family Law attorney to discuss your matter. But do not delay. Good luck! Rob Gleaner

Re: Preventative Maintenance

It is virtually impossible to give you that kind of advice without more information. In order to advise you appropriately, I would need to all of the relevant information relating to your marriage, kids, finances, income, assets, debts, etc. I strongly urge you to consult with a Family Law attorney immediately. I am a Certified Matrimonial Attorney with 14 years of experience. I charge $300.00 for an initial consultation, which generally takes about 2-3 hours. If you would like to schedule a consultation, please call my secretary, Debbie, at 856-795-6700.
