Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

primary residence

my exhusband moved to a different township so the girls can attend a better school. I have primary residence but the children spend 6-7 days everyother week with their father. The school district requires him to have the primary residence. My question is that if i give him primary residence will it snowball into he gets primary custody then i end up losing child support and paying him childsupport..can i give him just primary residence( just so the girls can go to a better school district then the one i live in ) and continue receiving child support.and alimony...other wise i have to sell my house and move to the township...please help only a couple weeks till school starts...thanks

Re: primary residence

I strongly suggest that you NOT agree to give him primary residential custody. Yes, the results can be very significant. You will need to get detailed advice from an experienced divorce attorney; please do not make this decision until you do. You should explore all options available.
