Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Private School Tuition for a 6 yr old

My ex and I agreed in our FJD that we would mutually agree we our daughter would go to elementary school. She decided to enroll our daughter in catholic school and filed a motion asking me to pay a % of the tuition. Family court ruled that I must even though both schools start at the same time (my ex agrued that she could not arrange for our daughter to attend public school). Am I being treating unjust or does the law back up the judges decision?

If you mutually agreed that your child would go to public school that is enforceable.

Call me if you like.

Your question is vague. When you say school, do you mean public school or private school? Assuming there was no agreement with regard to private school, I don't see how you could be forced to pay for private school. In fact, I would argue that your JOD supports your position. I suggest you appeal.

I'd be more than happy to help you. Just drop me a line.
