Property Dispute after Divorce

My friend divorced in Sept 2008. Her ex and her still have a joint bank account with $5000. She withdrew the money and now the ex is threating to sue her for the money. Also, her car's title lists her as the only owner however in the divorce papers, it states that the car was to remain in the ex's possession. He is threatening to take the car away. She wants to know if he can do that even if the title is in her name. Also is there any way she can go to court and retain possession of the car.

This is a common type of question that cannot be answered without reviewing her divorce papers. It seems that something is provided there regarding the car, so she should see an attorney and if necessary she can file a motion with the Court to clear up any unresolved issues.

I hope she didn't actually pay an attorney for this mess? I do everything I can to prevent these issues. Anyway, I suggest she first see a lawyer to look at the whole picture. It sounds like she should probably go back to court and iron out everything; or at least go to mediation.
