Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Property Settlement

I have been seperated from my husband for two years. The divorce will be finalized in two weeks. But I don't have a property settlement because we didn't have any property or children. Do I need one?

Re: Property Settlement

You need an Agreement or at least a Final Judgment of Divorce that outlines any agreement that you have made on any issues other than the fact that you are actually getting divorced. Any issues regarding asset, debts, support, division of furniture and personalty, cars, etc. must be set forth in the Final Judgment of Divorce or Agreement. It depends upon what you have agreed to, if anything. If you would like to further discuss these issues. please contact my secretary, Debbie, at 856-795-6700 to schedule a consultation.
