Depends on many, many factors. However, most attorneys charge an hourly rate that is billed against a retainer, so in the end, it will be whatever it will be. Flat fees are generally frowned upon in family law practice even though some attorneys use them.

It is a matter of how much time is involved. Relevant documents have to be identified and collected. A case information statement has to be prepared. A ;notice of motion and supporting certification and supporting legal brief must be perpared. This takes at least ten hours. Multiply ten hours time a reasonable hourly rate and you have the minimum amount that an attorney should charge.
