Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

refuses to vacate--free use of appliances

I told the wife I want a divorce and asked her to vacate my premarital apartment. She will not leave. I know I can not change the locks until I can get a court order. Do I still have to allow her use of the washer/dryer, provide her with food/use of the kitchen? I pay all the utilities and household bills. she doesnt not contribute financially to the household. She has her own job/car so is not dependant on me for these things.

Re: refuses to vacate--free use of appliances

Your apartment is the marital home for both of you. You cannot force her to leave until the issues are resolved in the context of your divorce proceedings.
