i think that his chances of getting full custody, given the facts as you told them, are slim. however, you must apply to the court in new jersey for permission to move out of state, if the other parent does not give permission and if the prior court orders don't already give you permission to do so. there are several factors that must be met by the parent seeking to re-locate. most people in your position get a lawyer to represent them in these motions. feel free to call me at 609 263 0089 if you have any other questions. good luck !!

You will not lose custody after all this time without some transgression and/child neglect or abuse by you. As for your moving it is hard to evaluate your reasons for moving based on your statement that your quality of life will improve.
