Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Remarriage and Child Support

If I get remarried in NJ, but my kids live in Puerto Rico, will my new spouses income be used to recalculate child support if it needs to be adjusted in the future? There is a law in PR that uses new spouses income. Can this law be enforced here in NJ? If it can what can protect my fiances' income from my child support?

Re: Remarriage and Child Support

If the children are in PR, then the PR law will apply regardless of where you live. I suggest you contact a lawyer there.
