Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Residential parent

I am the "residential parent" of my 3 year old son. I live in New Jersey and will be moving to Washington state. I was curious on my rights of taking my child with me. Does the father have a right to stop me from moving? What do I need to do to make sure my son comes with me?

Re: Residential parent

You must either obtain the consent of the father or a Court Order allowing you to relocate with the minor child. If you would like to discuss your situation, please feel free to contact my office at 732-246-0909 or [email protected]
