Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Response to Motion

As pro se the matrimonial judge instructed me to make a motion for

past support. The def. filed his motion yesterday. We are due in court next week 9th and I broke my leg. No one is in the courthouse to answer any questions. Is it possible to file another motion in answer to his motion before this date, and can I

obtain a postp. due to my injurty or can he move on the papers alone. What are my options? Thank you advance!

Re: Response to Motion

I have to warn you against going pro se. Now that that's over, what you are looking to do is file a cross motion. He'll have no time to respond so I would just go to the court house on friday and handle this. They will be there then.
