Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Restraining Order on Remarriage

I was divorced in may of 2002 but the QDRO on my company's pension plan has not been resolved due to some disagreements about certain paragraphs. The court has put me under a restraining order to prevent my remarriage until the QDRO is resolved and in place. Unfortunately my ex-spouse is using dragging out the process to frustrate my plans to remarry. What can I do?

1. Can a time limit be put on the restraining order to force the other party to negotiate more actively?

2. Can I get my future wife to sign papers to the effect that she will not interfere with the portion of my pension tha writefully belongs to my ex-wife?

Re: Restraining Order on Remarriage

It seems HIGHLY unusual that there would be Court-imposed restraining order preventing you from remarrying despite what might still be going on with regard to the QDRO. Please call me to give me some more details on what is going on. I'm very curious.
