restraining orders
i have a restraining order on my husband,there is to be no contact between us. at the present time he has our 16 year old daughter. he only has a cell phone. i had to call the cell phone today due to a doctors appt. for my daughter. he did not answer so there was no contact between us. did i break the order?

You did not violate the restraining order because it only restrains him, but by calling him
you may cause him to be in violation of the order. You need a provision in the order permitting communication between you to discuss your child.

Hi,
Your question is sort of unclear. Do you have the restraining order against you, aginst him, or is it a mutual restraining order. If the Order is only against your husband, meaning he can have no contact with you, then you are fine. If if is against you, or a mutual restraining order, then you probably did "break" the Order. Based on the limited facts, I would recommend that you do not have any further contact with your husband.
