Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

my rights

My ex girfriend has my child. Although amicable she is making it difficult to see my son.

Do I have any rights here?

Re: my rights

You have rights, but the amount of visitation depends on the child's age.

A newborn usually is visited at the mother's residence. As the child gets older daytime visits are allowed. As the child gets beyond the age of two years overnights are allowed but only one night at a time and so on.

Call me if you like.

Re: my rights

Of course, but without a court order, you have nothing to enforce. You should see an attorney before doing anything.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.
