Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

school for a 5 year old

My ex and I have joint custody of our 4 year old and his time is split equally between the two homes.

Since the seperation my ex has become very religious (Jewish) and wants to send our son to a religious school instead of public school.

There is nothing in our divorce agreement about types of schools.

What are my best options to prevent this.

Do you have joint custody? If you have joint custody you may need to go back to court to modify the order.

You can file a motion with the Court, but you are raising a complex question whose resolution is not so easy to control.

Call me if you like.
