Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
Seeking Physical Custody
my husband & i recently seperated. I left the situation for fear of myself & 4yr old child. I would like to know because I am not legally seperated it just happened 2 weeks ago with prior history of domestic violence verbally & physically. Im physically seeking custody asap after recently learning that ''he is using drugs'' in which he told me hisself. What are the next steps that i take to gain custody of my daughter..he has attempted to kill me & hisself which is documented by the police & the hospital in Pennsylvania. How do i get custody of her now so that he doesn't put her in any jeopardy. Please Help what do i do??

Re: Seeking Physical Custody
You should file a domestic violence complaint against him and obtain a restraining order. I will help you.

Re: Seeking Physical Custody
You need to file a motion with the court. I strongly suggest you get an attorney to help you with this.
Re: Seeking Physical Custody
you need to file a petition requesting custody and limiting him to court supervised visitations (if he even shows up to the custody hearing). Please call for more info...free initial consultation.
