Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

separation agreement

My husband wants a divorce. He convinced me to move out of our house. I had no where else to go except home to Canada. Before leaving he had me sign a separation agreement. At the time I fekt pressured to sign. After doing some research I see I was entitled to much more than what we agreed on. Is there any way to change this although an agreement was signed?

Re: separation agreement

That depends on the terms of the agreement and the reasons for modifying it. YOu should speak with an experienced attorney to review the agreement and determine if it is fair.

You can attack the separation agreement as being the product of undue pressure and as being involuntary when you file for divorce in New Jersey.
