Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
simple assault charge
If a person is charged with simple assault, e.g. grabing the wrist of the assailant to prevent he/she from hitting the victim- what can be expected at the court appearance hearing? And if the person being charged with simple assault was taken to the local police authorities and not read his Miranda Rights- what legal action if any should be taken? I need a reply ASAP.
Thank you.. L Hernandez

I suggest you pick up the phone and call an attorney as opposed to relying on this site. You could wind up going to court several times before there is a trial.

You need a lawyer. I have several friends who are expert in this area. I do not do this.
