Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I am a single mom in NJ, me and my ex were never married, we have a one year old son together. I have a restraining order against my ex and he has supervised visitation every weekend. I am hoping to move out of state to connecticut, do I have to get permission from the courts and/or father to do so?
