Had a child in 95, father only in her life for 3 months in 97'. Haven't seen or heard from him since then. However, my husband has raised her from a baby. This is the only man she knows as dad. Natural father is now in jail, no contact with him at all. Doesn't even know him. How do I get his rights reliquisted. 2.) His name is not on her birthcertificate can my husband go and sign his name. note: natural father did take me to court for childsupport and visitation during that 3months in 97.

3.) got married in Maryland, lost marriage certificate how do I get another copy with the seal on it.

Your current husband can file for an adoption, but to make it easy you need to get the natural father to sign of his parental rights. You should contact an attorney for this. It should cost between $900 to $1,500 depending on the amount of paper work required. As to you marriage certificate, contact either the clerk of the town you were married in or the Bureau of vital statistics in Maryland to get a copy.
