Sister collecting brother social security check

A friends father died about 5 6 years ago and he was SUPPOSED TO BE recieving social security as a result of his father's death. Because his mother failing health and inprisonment he was sent to live with his sister who have different dads. He did not recieve any of the social security money and was kicked out by his sister from time to time. After finish high school a month later she kicked out and now he is virtually homeless living from friend house to friend house. Its has been 4 months since he last stayed with her and she still is getting the check. His attitude has change dramatically resulting in a depression and quick temper. Is he able to sue his sister for all the money from the social security checks and pain and suffering or emotional damages. He is a really good kid only 18 and he is struggling to keep it together heading toward colege soon what can he do.

If someone else case his checks he get the money from Social Security because he never received the benefits he was entitled to. Social Security will treat the theft of his check as a crime and prosecute the person who has been receiving his check. He should go to the nearest Social Security

office with his birht certificate, drivers license and social security card to see about the benefits

he never received.
