Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

Sole Child Custody when father lives out of state

I was granted joint legal custody and residental custody of my 1mth old son today. My son's father resides in NY; I was down this road before with my other 3boys bc their father lives in MD.The judge said by law he cant remove them from the state without filing to do so nor does he have custody of them since he lives out of state. Wouldnt this be the case now bc his father lives in NY? If so, should I consult with my attorney who got me legal n residental of my older 3 sons or file for sole custody on my own?

I don't follow what you are looking for. You have RC of your son, there is nothing else you need.
