Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

In need of Spousal support

My husband and I have been together for 23 years; married only for 8 years, at this moment in time we’ve been separated for 3 years. He lives with his parents and I live with our 23 year old son in a different county. My husband works for the government and I am unemployed; he’s been carrying me on his medical insurance for 3 years since I lost my job and now he’s threatened to terminate the insurance that I have with him through his employer. He feels he’s carried me long enough, although I think he should help me out knowingly that I am unemployed and not to mention we are still married although not living together. I can not afford to buy medical let alone life insurance. My husband claims he wants a divorce; but has not gotten around to doing the paperwork; when he’s anger with me he threatens to send me the papers. I have taken him to court asking for support; in which were dropped due to me believing that he would help me since that is what he stated to me. I am not sure of what to do. Please advise me on how I should proceed to inquire about getting help from my spouse.
