spouses of heirs
my sister passed away. she was married at the time. my mothers will lists her as a beneficiary, does her widow inherit her share of the estate.

That depends on how the Will is worded, and whether your sister died after your mother. You need to have an attorney review this for you.

If you are the person in charge of your mother's Last Will And Testament, or the person in charge of your sister's property, then you really could use the advice of an attorney who handles Estates. It will cost you some money (should not be a lot) to get a clear understanding of what should take place, but it sounds like you need some guidance.
