My children and I reside in Hudson County NJ where the court order for child support was established in 1998 now the father who reside in New York is trying to petition to vacate the registration of out-of-state support order. Can this be done?

Re: out of state child support case

It is necessary to evaluate the papers filed by him

to learn whether there is some rule or law which will support his application.

If the application is being made in New York you will need the assistance of a lawyer there. If the application is being made in New Jersey you should hire a New Jersey attorney.

Re: out of state child support case

If the order is out of NJ, another state can't touch it.
