Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

out of state vacations

My wife and I are still married - though extremely strained. I wish to take my children on vacation to another state at the beach. Is this allowed?

Should not be a problem. Just make sure she knows where you are going and has contact info. You cannot move out of state however. If things look like they are going bad, I can refer you to a good mediator to help the two of you out. If you think things are past the point of no return, it might be time to see an attorney. If you aren't there yet, you may want to at least consult with one if things go south in the future.

My initial consultations are always free, so call me at 732/247/3340 to discuss your case.

It seems clear that you are at risk for divorce. I suggest that you sit down with a divorce attorney NOW, before things progress further, so that you can find out what your options are, and what the law is as it may apply to you and your children.
