Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I am a stay at home mom and have been married 29 yrs, my husband an I are in foreclosure and having marital probles, His checking acct is inn his name only and he is withholding money from me. If I use one of his checks for medication, dr appts etc and sign his name to the check can this create legal isues for me
