Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

can an ex sue me for financial debt after a divorce has been finalized? my divorce was finalized in dec '09 and now my ex is threatening to take me to court eventhough we both have incurred debt and decided we wouldn't put it in the divorce papers, and we would handle what was in each of our names on our own.
