Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
Hello, first of all I would like to say thank you for taking your busy time to read my question.
I've been married for 4 years to my husband, an army veteran. We have a 2 year old daughter and I've been contemplating divorce and gaining full custody of my daughter.
He has been abusive and I called the police twice on him for hitting stuff, yelling in my face and pushing me in front of our daughter. I really have no proof, just a recording of him yelling at me with the baby there and two pics of bruises from him grabbing my arm during an argument. I have never touch him or hit him. He also hasnt helped me fix my legal status in this country and he doesn't let me work or study. He never gives me any money and he is very aggressive. He has no patience with our daughter and yells at her, or snatches stuff from her hands In a very aggressive way and if I ask him to stop , he insults me. We are both living under my parents house and they are witnesss of the abuse, i even have a minor sister who sees everything. I have asked him to leave and he ignores me or threatened me with doing something if I call the police
We are from NJ
I want to know what I would need and what are my chances ?
