Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I am taking my 16 year old daughters father back to court (date set for 9/28) for an increase in child support (currently only pays $120.00 a month) and to supply me with a perscription card. This is the first time since 1994 that I am doing this. This January after 16 years he handed me an insurance card finally, thankfully all the time before this my husband was able to supply and pay for medical. I am assuming that he received the motion in the mail recently. I received a text message from him this morning asking for her brith certificate "to keep her medical active plus perscription". It's been 16 1/2 years and he has never asked for her birth certificate not even during enrollment. Legally, do I have to mail him a a copy of the birth certificate?

I understand you might not want to send a copy of the birth certificate. Why not ask for a letter from the employer requesting the information and agree to supply the copy directly tot the employer.

I would be happy to follow up with you. Please email me directly or call my office if you would like to schedule an appointment either in person or by telephone. My contact information is listed in the links below.

I don't see why he shouldn't have a copy and why you would not want him to have one. Before going to court, you should at least speak to an attorney.
