Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

terminating visitation

My ex wife has a marijuana habit on top of not having a place of her own to live. She is staying with someone in a rent controlled apt and is not on the lease. How much weight does this case have to terminate visitation. I know judges kinda of go to the middle ground so I am at- least hoping for no more overnights or supervised visits.

Re: terminating visitation

But can you prove any of that? That's the real issue here. I think the marijuana allegation is the biggest issue there. She could also make up an excuse with regard to the lease. If you really want to be sure that you've done everything you could to terminate visitation, I would suggest hiring a lawyer. Even then, nothing is for sure as it appears you already know, but at least you've done your part. It shouldn't be expensive to do this with an attorney, so it just comes down to finances on your part, is it worth it to give it that extra boost, whatever boost it may be?
