I would like to know how long does it really take to get a divorce, if there are no issues contested by either party. In addition what are the typical Procedures and how long for each step. Thank you in advance for your halp.

Re: Time Line of an uncontested Divorce
First the case must be initiated with filing the complaint with the court. The defendant is subsequently served with the summons and complaint. The defendant has 35 days to answer. If the defendant does not answer, the defendant defaults and the plaintiff can immediately proceed with a default hearing. The plaintiff's appearance is required at that hearing, at which the judge will grant a final judgment of divorce.

Please note that even if you tell me that the parties agree on everything, and your spuse will not contest the case, I can not represent both parties in the divorce. I consider a divorce officially uncontested only after the default period has expired and no answer is filed.
