Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

transportation of child

Is there a law that states that the parent who is receiving the child must pick up the child or does the judge determine that one parent can be the pick up and delivery service?

Re: transportation of child

There is no law in this regard. Each case is different and different decisions would be made depending on the individual situations.

Keep in mind that this advice is given based on the little bit of information that you have provided in your question. My advice may change based on other information. Further, no one can rely on advice from an attorney who has not been retained. You cannot rely on this advice because we have not personally met and you have not retained me as an attorney. If you have not already done so, you should immediately meet with a Family Law attorney for a full consultation before you take any further steps. Good luck! Rob Gleaner

Re: transportation of child

The idea is that there be shared parenting. This applies to visitation, where it is reasonable, that one parent brings the child to the other and that parent takes the child back.
