To permanently relocate outside of New Jersey a

parent needs the consent of the other parent or the authorization of a Court order.

To take a child to Disney World or to Central Park in New York City requires no such authorization. You refer to traveling out of state and that is not necessarily improper unless it is during the time that school is in session or is of long duration as to deny you

more than short term parenting time with your child.

There is no way to prevent him from doing it again, but it sounds like he just left on a short term basis. If your facts are different, feel free to contact me.

I am not sure if this is just for vacation or on a more permanent basis. If it is for vacation, he can take him, but he would have to inform you of the location and provide phone numbers, etc.
