Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I'm having trouble emancipating my older son.

I am having trouble emancipating my older son who will be 20 in December but he is suffering from Tourettes and has some mental issues. I filed a motion to the judge and she denied that the emancipation take place and at the same time the COLA went up 6 per cent. I feel as a father that I am being cheated and need help with this. I am wondering waht my leagal right as a father would be in the State of NJ.

I assume you went to court without an attorney? That is often not a good idea. Not that having an attorney would have meant you would have won, but you would have probably had a better shot. You should sit down with one that has dealt with this issue before and won.
