Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey
New visitation schedule by mediator
I have a new visitation schedule being presented to me that the
mediator ''forced'' on me for child visitation. I do not agree to the
schedule she has come up with. I have not signed the ''new''
agreement yet and it has not been sent to the judge. I will be
requesting a new mediator and/or take the case to the judge.
While I am in the process of getting a new mediator/judge do I
need to follow the ''new'' schedule even though it is not
signed/submitted yet or do I follow our current court ordered
schedule? Also, any advice if I should ask for a new mediator or
just bring the case back to court? Thank you for your time.

Since I have not seen the documents in this case, I can not be sure what your duties are.
You should follow the Court order that the Judge signed, until there is a new court order.
If you did not sign it, and do not agree to it, the new visitation schedule is not binding on you unless a Judge orders it.
You must obey whatever the Judge orders.
You are likely to be more successful with an attorney representing you.

Re: New visitation schedule by mediator
I assume you don't have an attorney and assume you won't get one. All I can say is I strongly advise against doing anything without an attorney. I would call Mr. Davies if he is closer to you, or you could call me, Mr. Moore, someone else, legal services, etc. But call someone.
Re: New visitation schedule by mediator
I doubt that you will given a new mediator. Mediation simply failed to
resolve the visitation issue of your case. The matter will have to be resolved by the judge.
Call me if you like.
