wife had a child with boyfriend and claimed the child was mine

my wife has been having an affair with the same man for 7 years. she recently told me that the son i have been rasing is not my child. we had a dna test done and it proved the child is not mine. the father of the child wants nothing to do with him or my wife now. is it possible to recieve child support from this party for the pass 5 years i have raised his son.

Please be advised that I have not been retained to represent you and I am basing this reply on the limited amount of information provided. However, your better avenue is to file a claim against your wife since it was her deceit which caused you all of the expense in raising this child. I have never looked into the issue of suing for back child support in a situation as you described but it is of interest to me and I will do some research and let you know what I find. Where do you stand at this point? Are you separated, divorced, still living together? There are several issues you should discuss with a lawyer when you decide what direction you wish for you life to take at this point.
