Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

My wife filed for divorce (pro se) after I moved to New Jersey from Florida (where we were living) in July of 2008. I responded to her petition and as a result, the court requested a number of documents to be mutually completed and returned to court, prior to setting a hearing. My wife did not file documentation correctly and did not follow up on remaining documentation at all. She dis not exhibit any desire to move this case.

Wishing to expedite the divorce, I filed for default divorce in NJ and was granted a final judgment by local court in October 2010. The Florida case is still open. Do I need to close this case, and if so, how? It has been 2.5 years since Florida filing. Is there a time limitation for divorce cases?
