No Will !!!!!!!!!
My mom recently passed. 8 children, 1 house, 2 ins policies, 1 ira, and NO WILL!!
Where do we begin? How do we even obtain info.

If there is no will your mother's estate is governed
by the laws of intestacy. There is a law which
outlines the right to inherit. Spouses and children are the heirs if there is a spouse or a child.
The estate must be probated in the county surrogate's office. A family member has to go to the surrogate's office to be appointed administrator of your mother's estate. The
admintrator of the estate is required to distribute the estate in accordance with the laws of intestacy.
