Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

I'm a woman married to another woman in New Jersey. We purchased a house together but then separated over a year ago. She has not helped pay on the mortgage or utilities since. I've had to get a roommate to help me. But, she come to the house and just hangs out when I'm at work 2-3 days a week, claiming she is visiting the animals. She has invaded mine and roommates privacy and dictated "house rules" on numerous occasions. How can I prevent her from entering the home without my permission?

This is a unique question. Have you thought about consulting a matrimonial attorney? If she helped purchase the house, this would normally give her a partial ownership interest in the property. If she is being abusive or has become violent to you in any way, you could go for a restraining order, but it doesn't sound like that is the situation. has she just abandoned the relationship completely? You may want to consult your county bar association as they may be able to direct you to an attorney more familair and experienced with your issue, good luck

Please keep in mind that my response is just a general comment on your question, and not legal advice. Your question and any response does NOT create an attorney-client relationship between you and this law firm. The exact details of your situation and things that you have not mentioned in your question can completely change the answer to your question. You can not rely upon what I have written, because I do not have all of the information that I need to advise you, I only have the very small amount of information that you put into your question. For me to give you any legal advice, I would need for you to hire me to be your lawyer, and then we would need to discuss this in detail and go over the documents.

To get legal advice that you can rely on and use, please contact me directly. I would be happy to assist you.
