Legal Question in Family Law in New Jersey

If a womens lawyer files for a divorce...Does the other husbands lawyer have to file for a divorce also or does his lawyer just have to answer the request?

If you want a divorce there is no point in opposing the divorce; you need only ask to be heard on the other issues of a divorce, such as child support, visitation, child custody, alimony and the distribution of marital assets. In such an instance an attorney would file, with the Court, what is known as an Appearance.
