Family Medical Leave and Disability

I recently had a baby and I know I am entiltled to 6 weeks of disability and 12 weeks of FMLA - my employer told me that the 6 weeks of disability is included in the 12 weeks of FMLA - is this correct. I was under the impression that I was entitled to 6 weeks of disability and an additional 12 weeks of FMLA following it.

Disability and pregnancy are not the same. Get this sorted out with your employer BEFORE taking your leave. If you need an expert, hire a local attorney.
