Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

Bargaining

I am having a dispute with my former employer. A large sum of money is involved. I do have leverage/bargaining power. In other words many others are in the same situation as I am but probably have accepted their ''fate'' so to speak. Should my situation become a public crusade type thing it would be very expensive since a result favorable to me would be out of the bag so to speak.

At what point does bargaining for a personal settlement become susceptible to the employer crying ''Threat or Blackmail?''

Re: Bargaining

I am very curious as to the details of your situation. Any attorney which you speak to, in general, even if you do not hire the attorney, must keep secret and confidential all matters which you discuss. You should NEVER threaten to take criminal action unless you get what you want; that is in fact blackmail. However, you need some decent legal advice to guide you. You should not simply accept your fate, as the others have done. Please call me at 973-890-0400.
