Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

We had to cancel our daughters wedding because the groom had to go into a rehab center. They are no longer together, however the reception hall is saying we still owe 75% of what the total cost would have been. We did sign a contract, and we cancelled just under 30 days prior to the wedding, am I still obligated to pay the remainder?
