Condo Liens

My condo has 145 units and has neglected a water problem for years. Now they want to assess us $20,000 per unit. Their lawyer stated that non-payment would incur a lien and then foreclosure. However, another lawyer has stated that as long as we do not sell our units they cannot foreclose and can never come after us for the money.

You need solid legal advice. your neighbors should join with you to hire an attorney.

The lawyer who told you that you can not be foreclosed out, is wrong.
