Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New Jersey

contempt of court

In my divorce, my ex was ordered to pay me 5% of a case he was involved in. I can not get any information from him regarding settlement. My lawyer can't get info either and states we have to bring him back to court for contempt. I am in school full time and can't afford another contempt case.

Any suggestions on how to find out the information on his other case? I know the state but not the county or docket #. Please help, I really need the money he owes me and can't get my lawyer to help me. I have been trying for months now.

You really need some investigation to find out what is going on with his case, and you will eventually need to force payment.
